Creating a Safe Environment
As Christians, we are committed to doing our best to create a safe environment for our gatherings in light of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
We recommend the following extra precautions to keep our community healthy:
– Greetings
It is recommended to refrain from handshakes and other contacts like kissing.
We can show a warm welcome through our smile and words.
– Holy Communion
Designated helpers who have washed and sanitized their hands will give out the bread.
Designated helpers will be the only ones handling the trays with individual cups.
– Serving of food at morning teas etc.
Food preparation is done by people who have washed and sanitized their hands and are wearing gloves.
Designated helpers serve people the food using tongs onto plates and bowls.
– Children’s and Youth ministries
Children and youth are asked to wash and sanitized their hands before the program begins.
Food is served to the youth people by leaders using tongs.
Toys and equipment are wiped down before and after activities.
As Christians, we have a duty of care to everyone in our midst. Let’s work together to create a safe environment for all who attend our gatherings.
